Please Help With SiS 7012 Drivers
Hi, for awhile, i had been using the audio drivers supplied with my motherboard software CD for my onboard SiS 7012 sound card. I bought F.E.A.R and found that it kept rebooting my computer after a short period of playing. I updated the audio drivers from SiS's site (v1.12d) and it fixed the problem, along with boosting the FPS in many games. However, its created new problems.
The main problem is that my brother uses Sibelius on the computer (Music making program), and with these new drivers, the sound is completely garbled and it makes it impossible for him to use it. Secondly, when clicking about on the desktop, the normal "Click" type sound that plays when clicking on links etc, randomly makes a nasty sound pop, otherwise the sound plays fine. Anyone know if theres an all round fix ? Thanks in advance. |

try uninstalling the drivers completely and then running the full install driver package after a reboot

The 7012 appears to be a Realtek ALC655, so try the latest Realtek drivers before giving up on it
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&Software=True They work nicely on a friend's laptop PC - loaded with the 3.79's last week, after a HD fault - and I'll use them again this week (HD died altogether)! |
