Plz help....kX with XP aux2 playback
Ok sorry but this is probably a very newb question. I have been trying to get this work with no avail. I have a sound blaster live 5.1 platinum with the kx drivers installed on windows xp.
With the newest creative drivers I was unable to get sound out of my headphones plugged into the live drive, but with the kx drivers I was able to get sound. Originally I thought my livedrive was defunct or something and found out the creative drivers sucked.....and was told to come here. My real problem is I am trying to hook up my xbox to the auxiliary 2 inputs through RCA left and right channels (red and white ones) and am trying to get sound out of my PC speakers. Is this possible? How am I able to hear what is being played? Once again sorry if this is a very noob question but I am dying here. My mini stereo sucks compared to my Klipsch speakers and want to enjoy the sound. Any help/tips plz?? |

I'd recommend that you use your optical output from your xbox and plug that into the live drive and enjoy dolby digital sound. that'll be a hell of a lot better than two channel aux sound. However, I'm not sure if the kx drivers are able to decode the digital sound or not. I would suppose that they would be able to, but since they are not complete, I can't be sure. (and yes, the price of the optical cable is worth it
)
