New Creative Drivers for Audigy1/2/4 Series
Creative has launched a new set of drivers for all Audigy series (except Audigy LS and SE). I've already tried the brand new 2.08.0004 with my 2ZS and they work fine with Youp Pax A4 ISO. The sound seems to be similar to the Youp X-Fi 2.31 drivers. They are available at http://us.creative.com.creative.com/support/downloads/
When you run the setup.exe, it will automatically unninstall your current drivers, reboot your pc and install the new ones (here you must cancel any windows xp install). Finally it will ask you to reboot and it's all done. This set of drivers includes a new Audio Console, although it seems the same to me. "For Audigy 2 and Audigy 4 series only: After updating your driver, download and install Creative MediaSource™ DVD-Audio Player DVDA_PCApp_LB_2_00_75.exe". I could not find this new release for DVD-A. Last edited by carnival; Jan 24, 2006 at 02:07 PM. |

When you unninstall your current creative drivers and reboot your pc, windows xp will detect new hardware and it will try to install your soundboard with its native drivers. All you have to do is cancel the windows install wizard and let the creative install process continue. |
