Trying to install the new Audigy drivers for my audigy 2 value card.
Well, I heard there were new Audigy drivers so I went and got them. Lo and behold I run the installation program, it says reboot, I reboot, windows wouldnt boot up. Suddenly my graphics card drivers had to be reinstalled. Weird. Now tho, when i attempt to reinstall the audigy drivers i downloaded today, I get "You have previously installed drivers without booting. Please reboot and try again."
Well ive rebooted, and rebooted. Same thing. Went and used drivercleaner. Same thing. Did an agressive scan of the registry. Didnt fix it. Im at the point where I am going to rip the thing out. Please give me some Ideas on where to go from here? Running Windows Xp pro. This is a Audigy 2 value card. |

Read some installation instructions from http://www.hardwareheaven.com/audio-general-technical-discussion/97244-new-creative-drivers-audigy1-2-4-series.html
If you install driver update by running the ctzapxx.ex (can be found on extrated installation packages \Drivers\support\i386 (or amd64 if you're running 64-bit OS) -folder. Installation settings shown below: ![]() jiitee |

thats not it
It will start extracting files, get the the installation wizard part and immediatly tell me I have a previous installation and to reboot and try again. There are no extracted files that I can run. Cept in the temp directory where they are extracted to run the driver update and running ctzapxx.exe from there gives me the same message. Im running the SBAZ_WEBUP_LB2_08_004 file that I downloaded off the SoundBlaster website for the new drivers.

Nevermind
Nevermind,
I took the card out and rebooted. Shut down the computer put the card back in and Booted up. It cleared it and the drivers installed this time. |
