Difference between A4 and A2 apps?

Is there any real difference between the A4 and A2 apps other than cosmetics?

I have an A1 and I have just been using the new unified drivers with the A2 apps. I installed the A4 apps only using the method on this forum, but it requires running the setup to select the applications instead of installing the apps manually.

Given that the X-Fi apps don't work on the Audigy series, is there any real benefit to using the A4 apps over the A2 apps for the A1?

Thank you,
David

a4 has entertainment center (remote control) but the a2s with remote have that function already on the cd i think. so i guess its cosmetic

check the pax forums bbs.youp-pax.org (which is down but it should go up :s)

I believe that the youp mod is based on the non pro apps, the pro apps have other features but requires the a4pro for now

Yeah, I was just talking about the basic apps. I only have an audigy1. I just wanted to know if there was any real difference between the two sets of applications.

Not that I have seen. Have used both the A2 and A4 apps (don't remember if I ever used the original A1 apps), and the only difference I can see is the way they look. BTW Audigy ES here.
