Audigy2ZS card and an old SB Live Drive IR. Easy to make compatible???
Hey, I will soon have the Audigy2ZS card and an old SB Live Drive IR. i was hoping they would be easy to make compatible.
What i need most is to use the microphone jack and headphone jack. But i gladly take all i can get I was hoping that someone who has the live drive working w/ the audigy2zs could help me get it to work. Diagrams and soldering is not my forté im sad to say. If any of you houe have made this work and read this, can you please take real picture of your fix for this and post them?? I am willing to pay fore a home made cable if that is all i need. Please walk me trough this with simple words and live images. You would do me and manny others a great favor. Sorry about the bad spelling and sutch.. im from Sweden

DOn't quote me but I am pretty sure the external enclosures are all pretty much the same. I had this conversation with another guy a while back..anyway...compare the pinouts of the cards and that will give you a better idea...should be ok though..hope that helps.

incompatible sorry, the headers used are different (different pin assignments) and even if you do manage to re-wire your own cable, only the midi and spdif i/o will work. Analogue i/o (headphones,line2,aux2 etc) will not work due to samplerate differences
