floppy problems

I got a noise problem when i take a floppy outside the floppy drive, my pc begins to make a hell of a lot of noise.. when i stuck the thing back in, the noise stops... and when i take it out, it begins making noise again...
anyone have an idea why and how thats happening?

It sounds like the motor of your floppy drive is stuck or something, although I honestly haven't heard of anything like that before.

Perhaps you better buy another floppy? These should cost next to nothing nowadays.
