I'm looking for a program that can put avis or mpegs

i just got some seasons of shows n stuff and they r either avi's or mpeg's.
i am currently using nero to makeup a menu and put the episodes with the menu as dvd format and because nero wont burn it because its too big i use dvd shrink.

i was just wondering if there was anything better out there apart from tmpgenc which i use aswell but it takes longer than nero, which can do it better than nero or am i using doing the editing correctly?

digerati will become famous soon enough

TMPG is noted for taking a long about of time but providing some of the best quality. Another option is using the program CCE which is not free and is a bit on the advanced side.
