Smilie recording multitracks problem

Hi can anyone shed some light on how I can record multitrack audio
so i can edit each track separately.
The problem i'm having is when i record track 1, then record on track 2
track 2 also picks up the audio on track 1, which makes it a pain for
editing.I have tried the setting all different configs for in and outs and tried
3 or 4 alternate software for recording. I am new to kxproject driver
set ups, and don't know if i should run asio as well. I have soundblaster
live drive, and it seems difficult to manage around the kx environment.

Also on a second request, can someone list the kx installation files
can't find the folder or folders, in case of future uninstall.

Thanks in advance
