Default Post Record TV on computer...

can someone recommend a good cheap usb thing to record TV shows on my computer? my TV has those yellow white and red plugs. Don't need anything expensive, just need something cheap that can do audio and video record. Thanks!

Re: Record TV on computer...

your TV has a A/V (Audio/Video) output. you have to connect your TV to your PC.

does your PC graphic card support video input...?

Re: Record TV on computer...

A/V output...is that what those 3 colored holes are? I have a HD 4870, not sure if its output or input... I have one of the wires from my nintendo wii with the 3 colored wires. I plugged the yellow in from my tv to the card before and it works. I've played DVDs from my computer to my TV before, but I'm not sure how to do TV to computer...

Re: Record TV on computer...

i think your card only supports TV output, not TV input, so you would have to use something like this

View and Record TV on Your PC

Re: Record TV on computer...

yeah, i know... but FM/TV cards are really cheap now... here is one that is actually quite cheap...

Newegg.com - SABRENT TV Tuner / Video Capture / MPEG Recording PCI Card with Remote Control TV-PCIRC PCI Interface - TV Tuners & Video Devices

it's either this or an expencive graphic card that has a video input...
