Dubbing
I'm looking to dub over a few sections of a movie. Now when I say dub, I mean remove the vocals and dub something over them, while retaining all the other audio. The movie at the moment is on DVD, but can be ripped/converted to something else (avi, DivX, etc., not sure at the moment) while it does not matter what format the final product is in.
Thanks in advance |

Do you want to do your own dubbing (record your own WAV files to replace the sections you wish to replace), or do you have a seperate audio track you would like to use?
Either way, it's gonna be tough. I don't think you can completely remove vocals from an audio track, but I remember some MP3 tools that quiet them down considerably. I suppose if you could do that, placing your custom vocals on top may result in acceptable results. You'll need some high end audio software to do something like that, though.. and that's not my area of expertise. Hopefully somebody else here will have a suggestion. - Me |

I will be recording my own vocals, they will most likely be in WAV or MP3 format
