Ripping playstation movies

I'm going to be doing a video project for school, and i want to include some movies from games in my video, more specificaly, playstation and playstation 2 games. Ive looked on my own for tools to do this, and have come up empty handed, is there any way of ripping them directly off the cd or dvd?
