Video problems.

my movies keep hanging every now and then whenever I view them.
i tried using wmp9 and winamp it still happens, it's like it'll hang (jerk-like) for a short well and continues and then happens again..how do I solve this?

We need more information on how to help you. Your system specs. The last time you did a Defrag. What kind of movie file (Mpg, Divx, etc) and there will be someone who can help you out.

My PC specs :
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
1.53 Ghz
512MB DDRAM
Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440 SE 64MB

It the jerk is very bad for .avi files, it does happens for .mov files too, but not as bad as when I'm playing .avi files.

Maybe your codecs are broken, try installing the Klite codec pack: http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm
