Converting RM to Mpeg...?

Hey guys, I'm trying to put some Real Media(yeah...I know) flicks on DVD or SVCD to play on the big screen, but no program can convert them to the required Mpeg or Mpeg2 format. Is there no hope?
Thanks for any help

have you tried the virtual dub site? I havent converted any real media files but that tool with the right codecs should convert anything. It should really only be a matter of getting the real media codecs.

sorry im not much more help but id check out the virtual dub sites for help with this. http://www.doom9.org/ is also a good place to start.

if you get more information or get it sorted out let me know, ill be interested to hear if it works out for you.

EDIT: just seen the post above NICE ONE !

Thx Zardon

Well after a little more digging i found another link.. I think this one is even beter 'cause you can convert RM/RAM/RMVB to AVI, DVD, VCD, SVCD, MPEG1, MPEG2.

RM Converter .. It's a little down

It's a trial so only a 2 minute video will be converted.
I downloaded it myself to test it and must say it is pretty easy to use.
Thinking about buying this little program.

DVD-Creator worked great! It was extremely easy to use and was even able to burn the disks for me.
Thanks again
