AVI audio extraction and recompilation help
I need some advice. I have an AVI file that I've been trying to record to DVD movie format. However, there are audio problems related to "improper VBR encoding" with the original AVI file that supposedly requires me to decompress the audio into raw WAV format, recompress with a constant bitrate encoder, and then relayer it back into the original AVI file. I was wondering how I should go about doing this.
I can still record the AVI to DVD movie format, but the audio becomes asynchronous to the video. Bane

the reason I'm asking is - what you suggested there, would be: starting with an already compressed file, decompressing to WAV, compressing again to MP3 (cbr), then transcoding to AC3, for the DVD (assuming your app uses AC3) if you can use WAV as a source, you'd cut out an extra compress (each compress hurts quality)
