PAL to NTSC

I've converted a PAL DVD to NTSC using this guide. I was quite successful, but I get framerate stutters due to my Panasonic S35 DVD player. I also get the unfortunate subtitle location error. (It's way too far down).

I'm looking for a easy to follow guide that is not out of date. If anybody can help, that would be great. Times like this, I wish I had the funds to build a Media Center PC. Screw this whole PAL and NTSC stuff!

Thanks PJ, but like somebody said in that thread:

"the title is "Convert NTSC AVI, DVD, (S)VCD to PAL DVD, (S)VCD", but it starts off with a source AVI, not a DVD."

I have a source DVD.

Thanks, PJ. Hopefully DVDSanta is like the real Santa and will bring me great gifts of NTSC goodness.
