Need a way to split movies

I have movies in many formats, avi, divx, mpg, etc. i need a simple software to split them so they will fit into 700mb cdr. no convertion needed, just want to split it as fast as possible.

if possible, is there a way to also have external subtitles divided as the movie at the right time?

Please help, any solution would be appreciated, even if it doesn't solve all the questions.

umm, use virtualdub (www.virtualdub.com) guides are at www.doom9.org for any help you may need, ohh and reply here if u need further help, we know all!

you dont need to re-encode anything, just split them. however you can also re-encode it if its to big to fit on a CD using a smaller bitrate, depending on many factors.

goodluck.
