Adobe Encore Burning Error...and now Delayed Write Fail Error
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to burn a movie that I have with a fairly standard assortment of DVD-type materials (i.e. menus, chapters, scene selections, etc) but i'm running into an error whenever I try to "Build" the project (basically burn it). I get the following message after a minute or so of work: Device Error - Sense Code(3 0c 00) - Write Error - Write (DVD Error 199680) I have an AOpen DUW1608/ARR Burner, and I'm using Memorex media, but i usually end up with a coaster or the program just copping out with this error as the end result. Any thoughts as to what's going on. I have updated to the latest firmware, and I'm using the Tryout Version of Encore 1.5. Thanks for your help

Which ASPI driver are you using?
Check it using this tool: http://radified.com/Files/aspichk_4712.exe Try removing all ASPI drivers (including Nero's) and install ForceASPI: http://radified.com/ASPI/forceaspi.htm

btw, another thing
That error code you supplied usually occurs AFTER the actual error happened. Could you paste the whole log, or just the code before that? It might help in finding what is really going on

Oh wow,
I really have to thank you, because it worked. Turned out that I had none of those ASPI drivers installed, and your suggestion did the trick. Thank's a bunch for the help! ![]() P.S. I should have clarified my original statement, the error occured after 5 or so minutes on working after I clicked "Build."

First of all, welcome to DriverHeaven Fredrik
![]() Now about the problem you're having... changing your graphics or the application that you're using won't make a difference - the problem you're having is caused by some low level issues with your OS (driver or device issues). First of all, check if you've got ASPI drivers installed with this tool: http://radified.com/Files/aspichk_4712.exe and tell us what you get Second, which recorder are you using? (brand and model) Make sure that it has the latest firmware installed. Check the drive's manufacturer page for more information

For the Premiere error you're having, check here:
http://adobe.groupbrowser.com/t39548.html If you have Encore installed, it could be the main cause of this error - this error was fixed in Encore 1.0.1. Latest patch is 1.5.1, which you can get here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=2663

Yes, Adobe did claim to have fixed the dreaded Encore 16072 error in 1.0.1 but I'm running 1.5.1 and I still get the error unless I trim each audo track a tad shorter than the video.

Encore issues
I too am having the DVD Error 199680. We have all the right software upgrades and even the firmware was upgraded. We're using a Pioneer dual-layer burner and Verbatim dual-layer disks. Now, the project is over 2 hours long and has been compressed to fit with room to spare. Any ideas or thoughts?
The PC specs: Dell Pentium 4 3.00 Ghz with 1 Gig of RAM. It seems to crap out after it starts to write to the disk. Thanks, Phil |
