Speaker problem.
Just got Logitech 380 5.1 speaker systemTheres no sound coming from rear speakers when playing anything, or in the realtek speaker test.
When it lights up in the test for the rear speakers there is no sound.
and if i put it on 7.1, sound comes out and indicates them as side speakers? on the test.
Could you help me out pls?

are you sure ther 380's? i just looked through logitech's site and i dont see any 380's.

oops theyre the X-530 speakers.
and my soundcard is Realtek ALC850 8-channel CODEC S/PDIF out interface support if that any help?

in the Realtek cp on sound effect manager i have it on 5.1.No sound comes out of the speakers on that setting though.
and in doom 3 it wont let me selcet surround sound.

start -> control panel -> sounds & audio devices -> advanced -> set to 5.1

also, unless you are upmixing the audio, mp3s may not play out of yer rear channel properly, but the sound test should work

Ok i was having the same problem, heres a solution, go into the control panel, click sounds and audio devices, click advanced under speaker settings, click the peromance tab, and make sure that the hardware acceleration is on phull. that ixed it or me

try this it's worked perfectly 4 me

CONTROL PANEL - SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES - HARDWARE - 'your sound card - in my case - Realtek High Definition Audio' - PROPERTIES button - PROPERTIES (you'll find from 1 to many things like - Audio Devices, Mixers, Line in etc. with + near each) - click + - click device or driver from drop down - PROPERTIES button - uncheck box 'Do not map through this device' if checked - check 'Use audio (sound) functions of this device' if present - APPLY - OK - OK - OK, close control panel. You may be asked to restart before changes take effect.
