Squelch the voice

Hi all ... hope someone can help me. I have used audio grabber in the past to make cds for myself. Well my daughter wants to sing to the music of one of these songs. Is there some program that makes it easy to remove the singing part of it? She doesn't want to be drown out by the singer. Hopefully you can suggest a free program that makes it easy. If this is not going to be easy .. lol let me know.
