burning mpeg to dvd pal

ive got some mpeg movies that i want to burn onto a dvd disc and i dont no wot the best program is so that the movies will work on any dvd players on any format or region.
(i'm in australia so region 4 and PAL)
i tried blaze media pro 5.20 but that didnt work so any other good programs that will do the trick? thankx for the help

some good programs to have are nero burning rom, tmpgenc dvd author, and avi to mpeg converter.

avit to mpeg converter is used to convert from one screen ratio/fps to another, tmpgenc is used to encode that mpg, or mpg's, into dvd format, and then use nero in dvd-video mode to burn the folders that tmpgenc creates.

i know with nero at least you can burn multi region DVDs
