Windows movie maker is easy...
Virtual dub with Xvid codec also works well.. but not as easy.. You could stream it live from your PC with Windows media encoder....

WMV or REAL encoder?
http://www.scvi.net/podcast/how.htm http://forms.real.com/rnforms/produc...sic/index.html ** RP Basic has a fairly onerous licence, dictating that "You may only use RealProducer Basic for personal use to create RealAudio 10 encoded media that you do not sell, rent, lease, license or exchange for value." I thought of BBC Dirac, but at the moment, it's at an early development stage, though it sounds like a promising alternative for the future, for an open-source video codec. |

Other than those two problems, it has a high quality picture and it really does compress it quite well.

Your best bet is probably to go into the camera settings themselves and setting the resolution to 320x240 or switching it from 30fps to 15fps. (I suggest the changing the resolution part more than the fps part). I suggest this not because of the quality on the computer, but you will be able to shoot more video on your cam if you reduce the size. |

If you have Quicktime Pro you can convert it nicely without any loss of quality.
