??? Viewing .rm files on secondary display?

Does anyone know how this is done? I'm using Real Player to view these files (also tried with .rm-plug-in for WA) on a Club 3D Radeon 9700 Pro 128 MB AGP with Catalyst 5.6. Primary display (Samtron 957p 1280x1024@85 Hz) via VGA output an secondary via DVI-VGA adapter (Samtron 76E 1024x768@85 Hz). I've also tried to get the video via S-Video-out, but no luck. It's really frustrating having to switch the TV to primary display when trying to view .rm-files via TV-Out. Any Ideas?

I don't know if the limitation lies within the Real Player software, but if it does then there might be a chance that Real Alternative does better. Give it a try. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm

Nope, sorry, didn't help. Removed RealPlayer and installled RealAlternative, but still just black video on secondary display. Any other ideas?

Try a couple of different video output modes in the Real Alternative player (Media Player Classic in the package). If nothing there helps I'd assume it's a driver limitation, but I don't have a TV to try it with myself.

same problem occurs to me when i try to play a DVD back on a secondary monitor - i just guessed it was a driver issue and swapped the displays around

Have you tried RealAlternative? Makeshift solution here but it's worth a shot.

This will allow Real Player 10 to be viewed on secondary screen:

- Go to Tools, Preferences
- Select Hardware
- Reduce the "Video Card Compatability" slider to Most Reliable (NOT Best Performance)
- Thats all!!

(Worked for me)

My first useful technical internet forum post!! wayhay
