VCD/SVCD to DVD

Well, I've got an SVCD to convert to DVD, and using this tut: How to put VCDs on DVD I was able to get the SVCD file exported into the .m2v and .mp2 files. When I open up TMPGenc dvd author and try to encode them into DVD format though, the program freezes and windows tells me I've used all of my 3GB of virtual memory. When I try to encode them into a standard mpg using TMPGenc 2.5 the program just freezes.

Any suggestions?
