exclamation Video editing software for game movie

Greetings,

I will be making a battlefield 2 video soon, I have the fraps software I just need the encoding application. What software would you guys & gals recommend to encode a video file, baring in mind the movie will be avi format.

The movie will also have music to go along with the action I have heard powerdirector is good as well as liquid and other titles like adobe premiere?

Just about any software will do what you ask. What codec do you plan on using, and what is your budget?
