dvd shrink and pocket divx encoder pda

Ok Absoulte newbie to ripping, encoding and finally viewing. I ripped thedvd with DVD Shrink, then encoded with pocketdivx encoder 3.6.

I have pocket divx on my PDA but I get a message that says that "this file contains an incompatible video formt"

Remember I am new to this so do not assume I know much

Thanks

Im thinking the resolution or framerate are wrong?? or Pocketdivx sucks ?? (I dont know of it personally) but I run into similar problems with SOME set top DVD players not accepting some formats when others will. Make sure Pocketdivex is encoding to a size and framerate tour PDA can handle.
Then theres the audio format..?? Could cause this same error.
Read the pocketdivx manual more closely for those details.

Does any video work with PD player?
Can you inspect that videos properties for framerate, resolution and audio format (sample rate, codec used - divx normally ONLY does video - MP3 or OOG is typically used with Divx video)

Furthermore - the input file to the PD encoder may need pre-conversion if its not able to change framerates or something else critcal to the players needs.
