3.4 was faster in 3d mark 2003 , waiting for omega for 3.5

nothing is overclocked

i had 4960 score with 2.4 Ghzbut with 3.4 , so i'm thinkin to uninstall 3.5 and install 3.4 again to get better score

Cat 3.5 removed the optimization (read cheats) for 3Dmark03.
That is why you get a lower score with these new ones.
At least they had the balls to admit it.

If you play anything else than 3dmark you will want to keep using the 3.5 as they solve several small bugs.

Huh...that's sweet. I always thought I was getting a ridiculously low score with 3DMark03. I get around 1480 with the following system:

Soyo Dragon Ultra 645Dx
Pentium IV 2.0a Ghz (not overclocked)
Crucial 256 Mb PC 2700 DDR Ram
Enermax 450W
ATI AIW 8500 w/Omega 3.5
Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum
Other crap...

Given the original benchmark comparisons, I guess that's not too bad at all. That makes this day a little bit better!

official drivers seem to score higher than omega's or dna's in 3dmark2k3 pro with all the patches for me. yet the difference is not large enough to be recognized in games.

amd barton 2500+@2054 12x170
2x256 pc 2700 cruical.

Going to do more over clocking on the video card all ready had it running at 500/350 with no problems.

here's mine on a 8500DV: 784 marks with it at 247.5/396 instead of 227.25/36x.xx. Got a AMD Duron 950 mHz clocked at 1.05 gHz and 2x 128mb sticks of generic PC100 RAM. Might do more o/c'ing on the card and retest. Gonna try 250/405 next.

using Omega 2474a (hacked 9500 - 9700 option selected)

Gigabyte Radeon 9500 non-pro 64MB (stock cooling & BIOS) @ 345/315. During the game test 4 (mother nature) I noticed a very minor artefacts (I gotta really stare @ the screen 2 spot em) but during real games, zero artefacts

, the question is: is this a problem ? did I oc the card 2 high ?

that should be better than that.3337 were mine for a 9600pro 128mb

256mb are 400/200(ddr) 128mb are 400/300(ddr).

thats what i thought im using the cat 3.9 driver. I just think this visiontek card is junk . Ill go on my win98 side and run it see if i get a better score on than xp . Who wants to bet i do???
