You can check my scores in my signature.

And btw, if anyone can beat my scores with a P4 system
no faster than 3080 MHz, all on air, let me know!

My 3DMark 2003 Results.

Using a P4 -2.8GHz HT 512 DDR 400 on an ASUS P4P800 and a PowerColor 9800SE - Omega Driver 3.10 moded.
is a mind blowing 5652. NO O/C.
after O/C to 3.2 GHz and display card O/c to 420/800 I passed the 6000 mark and got a 6125.

LOL :-)

I'm so happy about my new system. all games no run like helll...

I wanted to u/l some screen shots but I'm new to this forum and could find where to do it.

First and foremost, 3DMark03 is heavily (and I mean heavily) dependent on the graphics board. Huge differences in CPU's will only show small differences in scores. You can look through CPU reviews that happen to use 3DMark03 across several CPU's, and results will be close together. 3DMark03 is pretty much a video card test.

Secondly (and to a lesser degree,) Catalyst Maker's 4772 score was posted over a year ago. There have been many new video drivers released since then, with performance improvements in several of them! So you're using faster drivers than his team was.

3Dmark03 almost doesnt depend on the system running the test. it mostly sintetic test for the graphics card.
and that is the same 9700pro on both systems. the ~300 pionts diff is what the better system gives to the test.
if you want to see the real diff between the two tehn run Aquamark03.

Win XP Pro SP1
CATALYST 3.1

Radeon 9000 Pro: 1135

Radeon 7500: 364
Radeon 7000: 107
Is there any way to get the numbers from the 9600's?

good choice (I have the xeon version of that chip)....but if yer going the P4 route, why not 800MHz FSB?

(if yer on a budget, grab a 2.4C processor w/ HT and 800 FSB and it will overclock to hell and back on water)

This is the max I am going to get without going to water or better cooling of some sort. I have stock GPU cooler with an Antec dual fan card blowing air on the entire card.

6048

Not too shabby for a card that is now 2 generations out of primetime

Did you have AA/AF set to application preference? I had them both cranked up and it wrecked my score.....by over 1000 points.

4044 for me.

Athlon 2400+ @ 2.0 GHz
768DDR Ram
ATI 9600XT OC'ed @ 549/351 Catalyst 4.6
Windows XP

I love my 9600 card
