if thats 51C load full or partail?.... what are you useing to put a load on it?

need better cooler or bigger fan or beter case airflow or a lower room temp .....

51C is to hot ......... you ann get that down to around 45C or lower if ya can .....

50-60 celus is bad for it allthough it wont kill it ....(i have seen it kill L2 cahe before though) but that mens under load you pushing close if not 60C ....

@50C = instabillties - more crashes etc not good in my book

whats you nforce 2 chip temps? i have to put a thermaltake orb on mine to hande those temps i was getting ... was way to high... your board has active cooling tho mine did not

I think Load temp means under load... I don't know though, just thought I'd throw in my meager and utterly insufficient two cents ;p

u are pretty damn on the safe side with 51°C under full load. Just to scare all you heat-paranoia guys, i run an old 1700+ and won't care in case it just overheats and burns down or anything. I have not overclocked it, got a tiny case and the boxed fan, everything is just normal. I got 60°C idle and up to 85°C under full load in summer (for over 3months now runnin 24/7). This CPU should have gone down for ages now but it is not, i first thought of a false temperature readout but it is not, for with VCOOL (software tool) i come down to 45°C idle. The machine is stable i got uptimes of weeks runnin winXP, i use it for gaming, videoencoding whatever. L2 cache or whatever, it's all fine with this cpu runnin 60-85°C. 50°C u say, so what?! Full load and 60°C is still no problem! Damn heat-paranoia
