[COLOR=crimson]ANGER RAGE DIRE DEATH[/COLOR]

This is how i feel after the marks i got on 3dmark2003 Using 3.6 Drivers (Or any for that matter Omega or Hercules) My scores range from 12560 to 13965 depending on the drivers i use My ssystem is as follows

Win Xp Sp1a
Directx 9.0b
MSI KT4V Motherboard (latest Bios)
VIAHyperion4in1448v
AMD 2600XP (2084Mhz)
Omega 2.4.74/a or Hercules 3.6 or Ati 3.6 for Win2k/XP
Hercules 9800 Pro (No Overclock, No FastWrites, AGP 8X)
512Meg 333 Memory (Samsung 2.5Cas)
330Watt Enermax PowerSupply
Soundblaster live 5.1
3Com Network Card
2 Disk Drivers (7200 and 5400), 1 CDwriter.

CPU temp on load 48C
Box Temp on load 29C

[COLOR=silver]Is this 3dmark2001 SE Score 13965 ????? Right for this setup?[/COLOR]

(beats head agesnt wall) ..... no that bench is low... i would expect higer I am getting allmost 16,000 with cat 3.6 and a 2500+ barton @333mhz bus and nforce 2 chipset and a gig of geil ram...

cant think of what holding you back .. bet its a driver or settings or something..... grrr cant think need sleep

just got off work ...

only weakness i see right off is the power suppply
do me a favor check your voltages .... as well as watch them to see if the values change a whole lot.... should allways be withing 5% or spec ...

have you tryed winxp sp2 beta 1213 yet? really helped my system

cpu seems a little warm.... what are you useing hsf/paste?

might need to do some very magor tweaking .. i can try to help more if you want .... pm me... cant garenetee much but i will try my best to help .... to bad your probubly not near by ... it much better to tweak in person....

When you got your Hercules 9800PRO, did you do a fresh install of WindowsXP? And if not, what video card did you switch from?

what settings do you have on under the Direct3D/OpenGL tabs under display properties, I have the same card on a similar setup and get 17,000+

Well i reached the end of my tether and decided to restart the whole system setup process again. I reset the BIOS and turned off ACPI, all AGP options and Ramped up my memory to the fastest setting across the board. Amongst other settings i got from Omega.

Now suddenly my AMD 2600+ running at 2.083Gig is suddenly running at 2.1Gig

Now my score is about 15000 with all AGP setting on except for Fastwrites. My 512 Kingston memory is probably running [COLOR=red]Red Hot[/COLOR] but stable. Is this considered a more respectable Score???

Basically i think i bought a [COLOR=yellow]Lemon[/COLOR] of a mother board, most sites that review the board moan about stability issues. The wierd thing is that my 3dmark2003 marks are around 5349 which is sorta middle of the range it seems.

I dunno i have now officially given up and have decided to just be happy with the 15000 score and next time read more reviews about the board you wanna buy..IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT

O yes do you guys think if i ramp my memory up to 1gig it would improve my system performance and by what margine?

As far as all my past experience has stated: GET 1GIG!!!

The 512mb-1gb barrier is something you have to breach. In my opinion anyway.

I'm not 100% sure, but 15000 sounds about what you should be getting with your setup.
