What can i expect?

i am currently running a P4 system with

2.53 runing at 533mhz
512ddr 2700
jeantech 500w PSU
GforceFX5900
Crapy sis651 motherbord chipset

My benchmarks are

2001=10500
2003=4700
Aquamark2003=37000

i understand thease benchmarks are lower then they should be and i belive this is due to my pants motherbord so i am upgrading it
can you let me know what benchmark scores i should be getting with a good motherbord so i know what to aim for when the upgrade is compleate

I'm no expert on Intel...but your 2k1 score seems awfully low....you should expect atleast something like 14k-16k imo
But as i said i'm no expert on intel....why don't you check on www.futuremark.com for similar setups to yours..

my last pc were sis 650 and i thought that were crap.

2001=around 16k for me on a 9800pro so you should be around at least a similar score.(not o/c)

2003=around 5600 for me with the same card.

aquamark=39000-40000 for me with the same card.

but as you state your upgrading your mobo i would not worry about your benchies just yet.but when you change the mobo i would do a format & re-install of your os to make sure you get a clean install of your new chipset & vga drivers.

not even the FX5900ultra is a fast as the 9800pro!
