Sad Anti-Aliasing performace...

Hello,

I am not sure if this is a problem or just how its surposed to be.

System specs are, P4 3.0C, 1Gb PC3200, Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb (official 4.8 drivers), WinXP Pro SP1 with direct x 9.0c

I have got the benchmark for the Half Life 2 engine and been running a few tests.

In 1024x768 set to high and 16x AF and NO AA i get 63fps

When i use the same settings are above and use 2x AA the timedemo result is 35fps

Does anyone else thing thats a massive drop in perforamce for only 2x AA ?

Thanks

Here are some benchmarks from Tech Report with 4x AA, which is about right. 2x AA and 35 fps does seem a little drastic, but I'm not certain since I have not benchmarked it myself.
