i finally broke 6000 in 3dmark03

if you flash the bios i suggest you try a sapphire bios since they seem to preform the best for me.

nice, i got like 200extra points by flashing from ati's 9800pro bios to sapphires 9800pro bios after i got the card so you could push it more without looking the pro name. i can actually get into 7k by turning the gpu options to performance but to keep it fair i turn it to the balanced default option. ive heard intel processors and nvidia cards get better results then amd and ati which is confusing since ati is better at dx9 but it might have to do with nvidia using 24bit percission by default instead of 32bit like ati.

been waiting for www.overclockers.co.uk to deliver my epoxy so i can put my bga ramsinks on the 9800 so i can really finish off the system :shakesfist:

i feel all alone.... my 9800 pro clocked pretty high.... higher then yours. and i'm just barely scraping by 6000...and can't seem to push beyond 15500 in 01

65XX with 3DMark03 for me.

i just updated my 3dmark2k1 scores, i'm up to 16,369 now (over my previous 16,162)

i also mananged 92.xx fps in the VST

1024x768 all details on high, no AA or AF

i get 84.6x at 1280x960

Wow, you guys all beat me in 3dmark03 with 9800PRO's, except I have much higher 3dmark01 scores.

I've got a Powercolor 9800SE softmodded @390/350 with a A64 3000+ Newcastle @2.2 GHz.

My 3dmark03 score is around 6000, but my 3dmark01 score is around 19500.

Oh, nevermind, I see that your 9800's are all clocked much higher than mine, so I assume that my high 3dmark01 score is due to my faster processor.

Yup skykat, 3Dmark01 is far more dependent on the subsystem then the 03 version which primarily is based upon gfx performance.
