What the.. (radeon 9200)
Hey guys, I'm pretty stumped by these results. I'm hoping its a misconfiguration on my part that is causing them and not simply a true indication of the hardware. If anyone has any time and is so inclined as to respond I would appreciate it. The link below will display the results of my test, and this is a pretty good indicator. I ran 3 tests overall and got basically the same results each time.
I'm no graphics card expert, but this certainly seems out of wack and i'm not sure what to tweak to make it work better but I hope to god there is something! BTW if it helps, the motherboard is a shuttle.http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3679971 |

Welcome to DH
![]() The Radeon 9200 is an entry level card IMO. I am running them in 10 (Thanks to Catalyst Maker) systems at work. They are however capable of running games like UT2K4, CoD, Halo, NFSU. I am using them with Athlon XP 1800's and Sempron 2400 CPU's. I can not access your futuremark results page so more info on your system specs would be nice |

Yeah it would be the 9200
I wonder whether that might be higher than the ~250 my GFX5200 Scored in 3dMark05 I'm not sure because I don't know how the scores would convert

9200 is a good entry-level desktop card. Passive cooling, silence, but of course, not as great for speed. It will play most games as Chaos mentioned, though at lower settings. It's DX 8.1 class hardware after all.

Guess that means its time to upgrade. I think I'll look at at X600 or X700, any recommendations?

the 9200 is a DX 8.1 part you need to be bechming with 3dmark2001se its the onld reliable 3dmark03 is all most unreliable and a DX9 bechmark
problem being those cards X700 etc are pci Express.. so unless you have a 64bit (939)system with a pci express slot your not going to be upgradeing unless you upgrade your mobo /cpu 1st the X800 line has AGP but thier more expensive then what your looking at.... Sooo you should be looking looking at 9800 pro, 9600XT range
