3DMARK05 Question??

Do any of you guys have the problem of 3DMARK05 quitting half way done?It seems that when I have my GFX card turned up it does this.Can the clock settings be too fast for it?If so why?

have you got the latest patch for it.i know with the first version it used to do this when i was overclocked.

There was a patch for it when I went to download it.I did download that even though it said i didnt need to.Are you talking about that one?If not,whch one?

the latest build is 1.2.0 and came out on jan 26

are you doing any crazy overclocking of your video card and/or system? This only happens to me when i overclock my components, other than that, it's problem free

Yep,thats what it was.I was clocking too high.I cut it down and it runs just fine....Thanks!Question:Whe does ONing make it,and other programs crap out?

errors

if your clocked to high you can lose cycles in the cpu if its not cool enough so lesson learned dont OC if you cooling sucks

But I'm water cooled.NEVER gets over 36C.Idles at 28C.....?

BUT....the GFX card's are not watercooled,just the CPU.

then it's your GPU that's not handling the OC. Run your system at stock, but your GFX card OCed and see what happens. Then run your system OCed and your GFX card OCed and see what happens.

What SHOULD happen (not meaning that it will) is that when you OC your system, you'll get system instability, and when you OC your GFX card you should get more artifacts than anything.
