you gor 38,182 in aquamark ?? thats really low.... should be around 50K..
and the 3dmark05 is not bad but a tad on the low side. Should be above 3K. Make sure all your drivers are updated, make sure your chipset drivers are installed. Turn off all programs that aren't in use. |

changed driver and did just another test and got for aquamark:
47.368 i have latest official via hyperiondriver installed, i dont know if my motherboard is that good, just wonder what i need to get better results. should i post my dxdiag ? i just remember i installed pax audigy 4 driver before this test and had XI-FI with some kind of bug could be the reason too for 10k more points now. anyway when i look around in different benchmark forums i feel a bit underpowered when i compare my results

Are you running with no other applications open and are you overclocked at all? If no overclocking 47K isn't that bad.

motherboard actually does have a bit to do with overclockability. but ur best bet is to just get the best overclock u can @ stable conditions. the only benchmark that new Hard drive would matter is pcmark, but only if u buy the PRO version. i think ur 6600 is holding back scores a lil.

A new board would most likely allow more features such as AGP/PCI voltages, RAM timings and voltage, etc etc. I don't think one chipset overclocks more than another however but I could be wrong.
