I can't seem to get fraps functioning at all. It installs properly, but nothing happens when I execute the program. I watch it in taskmgr and fraps.exe shows for a second then quits. No window, no error, nothing in any log that I can find. I emailed fraps asking for help, but they pretty much said they wouldn't help me because I'm using the trial version. I was going to buy the registered version, but there's no way I'm paying 40 bucks for software that won't even run.
Anyway, I'm running an ATI9800 pro, I've tried using drivers from the cat5.9 through 5.13 and the 5.12 Omega drivers, same problem. From a clean boot, nothing running at all, even in safe mode. So I copied the same download over to my laptop (nVidia gF4) and it works perfectly. My laptop is running xp home, my desktop is running pro,but they're both up to date from windows update and have a very similar software configuration. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! |
