Distorted sound

I have Audigy2 ZS NB which is working OK with CL drivers...
However, with KX drivers (3538j) I constantlyy get distorted sound (wave/ or midi) on my Compaq N800V notebook. I experimented with 44/48 kHz settings, but with no result...

Any idea, anyone...
