3DSE not working :(
One of things i liked in Kx was 3DSE feature. On Low and Normal was excellent for CounterStrike:Source (especially for ejected round shells which sounded super realistic with 3DSE). But now, if i select ANY option under 3DSE it switches itself back to OFF when i open the panel again.

Exact card model is Audigy 2 Value (SB0400). With panel i meant Mixer panel where you set the 3DSE settings.
This thingie worked on my older SB Live! (SB0060) but doesn't work anymore on Audigy 2 Value. |

My card acts similairly (SB0228/STAC9758).
If you refresh the AC97 page after changing the 3DSE setting, it always shows as being OFF. However, I examined the AC97 registers after making changes, and it does set them correctly, and those values do stick, so it appears that kxmixer is just reporting it incorrectly as being OFF (with my card anyway). Also, I could easily verify that 3DSE was in use, by the noticeable difference in sound using any of the settings. -Russ |
