After installing it, quake booted up and worked with one problem, no sound. I quit quake and went looking for the problem. My computer's sound devices are working properly but the computer doesn't see the devices hooked up. When I go into the sound properties it shows that there is not an audio device connected. Any ideas or suggestions? |

Man, you didn't even mention what's your audio source, unless I overlooked it.
Did you install onboard sound or are you using a kX compatible soundcard. Maybe you havent installed drivers for onboard sound. If youre using a soundcard mention what card and what drivers you are using. EDIT: Oh you have onboard audio: Yamaha YMF-753. Did you install the drivers for your onboard sound, and make sure that sound device is selected in Windows Control Panel "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties??" Also, this is a bug report thread for the kX Project Audio Drivers. I don't see where you mentioned that your'e using a kX Compatible sound card, so what made you post in this thread?

I apologize. After registering I used the forum jump and found a section labeled bug reports. I dont have a kx audio driver so I am in the wrong spot. Sorry.
