Default playback buffer size causes delays on some machines
Default playback buffer sizes causes delays on some machines.
It shows up as a delay that occurs whenever a windows sound event occurs such as the sound when you try to close notepad with an unsaved document and windows asks if you want to save the file. Any such sound event causes a slowdown. The sound plays, there is a delay, and then the dialog or whatever comes next, shows. Lowering the buffer size to anything less than 4096 fixes the problem but raises other problems due to too small buffer size (clicks, pops etc) I seem to be the only one to have faced this problem yet, but I suspect that more people will start to see this problem later on. This is not a computer problem or similar since the original soundblaster drivers works just fine without this problem. Hope this problem will be fixed sometime soon! Kristian
