DSP bug in 3538j with plugin bypass activated
I'm using 3538j.
I found something that looks like a bug in the DSP. If you bypass a plugin and disconnect it's inputs, the sound still comes out of it's ouput. When you disconnect a plugin input, the driver should verify if the plugin bypass is activated. If the plugin bypass is activated, the driver should update the plugin outputs to reflect what is connected (or not) to its inputs. Last edited by Tril; Apr 27, 2006 at 11:19 PM. Also, if you bypass a plugin with nothing connected to it's inputs, and then connect something to it's inputs, that signal does not bypass the plugin (the plugin seems to ignore the input).
I agree with Tril, in that the plugins current state should be reflected (and the DSP code updated accordingly), any time the connections (in or out) are changed. |

disconnecting outputs/inputs involves hardware registers re-assignment
that's why bypass no longer works it is advised to avoid using bypass in such circumstances no workaround is currently available / panned E. |
