Maybe related to the new power management thing. I hibernate my computer every night as I generally run a lot of active apps that I don't want to have to restart. I have two sets of kx settings, one with output going to rear, one with output going to front and have headphones / speakers connected so I can easily flip between settings from the tray menu to change between headphones / speakers.
When I hibernated last night, the settings were at the headphones, I tried to play some video today and it was silent and I realised my settings were still using headphones, so I went to load the 'speaker' settings from the tray icon menu and received a bugcheck in kx.sys. I have done this process a few times before today so I am unsure as to why it crashed only today. I have never had crashes from 3537, although that version did not handle hibernation very well. I don't know if it's a problem, but my settings files were from 3537 and seemed to work just fine. I have since load/saved them if the format is somehow different in 3538j, but invalid settings file shouldn't be cause blue screen crash I would hope .Error code 100000d3, parameter1 f6fa9e58, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804db497. Kernel minidump: http://r-1.ch/Mini052306-01.zip Hope this helps to fix if possible, I really like how I can use hibernation now... but if the tradeoff is risk of a crash, then it's not so nice .

Crashed again just now from a cold boot, so hibernation isn't the issue. Occured when going from speakers -> headphones settings.
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x100000d3 (0xf6fa9e58, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804db497). "The driver marked itself pagable instead of non-pagable" or something to that effect. Minidump: http://r-1.ch/Mini052406-01.zip |
