Sad New release 3529 doesn't recognize Windows Me

When I try to install it under Windows Me, I get a message "Kx audio driver requires Windows 98 second edition or later..."
Please help!
Thanks in advance

Windows Millenium should be recognized correctly by the setup.exe
however, you could try running kxsetup.exe instead - it bypasses OS check
also, make sure you don't run setup.exe in 'compatibility' mode

also, could you please install a 'monitor' (kxdev.narod.ru, 'tools' section) and see what the setup.exe prints in the debug output -- this will help to avoid this problem in the future

Hi,
I have tried "kxdrv3529-full.exe" and I have the same message error.
I work under windows millenium 4.90.3000 french
Monitor recognise OS as Win98 First edition (gold)? (channel win32)

I mean, start kxsetup.exe, not 'setup.exe' -- both files are stored in your "Program Files \ kX Package" folder

also, please download the following file: kxproject.narod.ru/setup.exe and run it -- copy & paste any info monitor prints.

thanks

so, the new version of setup.exe works under Windows Me, doesn't it?

(note that kxsetup.exe prints 'OS is 98se... method 1 skipped' but it simply means OS isn't Win2k/WinXP. in the beginning setup.exe prints 'OS version: [1 4 90 ]' which corresponds to WinMe)

if you are still experiencing problems, please provide the full dump and specify when _exactly_ do you get the message.

/Eugene
