HackATack is on a distinguished road

Again a dumb mic problem..

Hey,

my mic worked for some weeks now with my new soundcard Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Digital. Now, after a private lan where i didn't use a mic at all it won't work anymore..
I've read a lot topics about my issue mentioned above but nothing helped me.
I made some screenshots in order to make it easier for you to help me.
That are the things i set up in my kx driver. The driver version is 5.10.00.3538 Jan 23 2006
i really hope anyone can help me to get my mic work!
I plugged the mic stuff (not the headphone) back at my soundcard in the slot right beside the black and the green one like the 3rd from "right" there is a mic symbol so that must be right i guess..

In your 3rd picutre, the Master Recording Level is muted. It should be unmuted and set to 100%.
In your 4th picture, the AC97 source is set to Line In, change it to MIC (the dropdown box). Also, the Analog Recording Gain is muted, unmute it and set it to an appropriate level.

Unless you want to hear yourself when speaking in the MIC, you can mute the AC97 In slider in the 2nd picture.

BTW: The above assumes that the MIC is connected to the MIC input on the back of the card (I noticed that you have the MIC2/Line2 slider unmuted in the 2nd picture as well... If your MIC is connected to one of those inputs, then the setup will be a different).
