KX not working after crash/error
Suddenly about 3 days ago after no problems with KX driver I got a message that said "Generic sound driver Win32MME" or something like this, has crashed. At first it just happened once without recurrence, then again the next day, and now today it does it within 5 minutes of rebooting every time.
KX will work until I press the "Dont send" button, at which point it will not. If I go to the sound control panel in Windows it lists "No driver available" for all sound options as if nothing is being seen. After it crashes the KX project mixer is still running, if I close it and reopen then upon relaunch it says "kX devices not found. Reinstall the drivers. kX error: Error initializing WinMM subsystem" The curious thing to me is the first thing I did was uninstall and reinstall whatever the current version is... After doing so I realized the old install wasnt properly wiped out, I still have a start up entry that will launch the old KX Mixer, Ive disabled it and installed the 3538k version, but still the problem remains. Any help on this? Its really disheartening. |

Upon digging a little more the "Generic host process" error message pops up when a file is in use while trying to write to it or read from it, I guess. Something like that. I think it may have something to do with how the old install of KX is bad.
But now my problem is that even without the kX driver(Just using standard Windows default SB Live drivers) it still happens:[[[ |
