problem installing KX3538k

This is going to be hard to make sense of, but I will try. I downloaded 3538k and ran the file. I went through the beginning precedures (license agreement, etc.), I then clicked install. After I clicked install it did not ask me any more questions (like do I want to install for joystick, where are my vst hosts, etc.), it then said finished and asked me if I wanted to view a readme and launch Kx Project. It did not ask me if I wanted to reboot. I clicked no to viewing the readme and to starting Kx Project. I felt it was best to reboot. So I rebooted.

When I logged back in after the reboot, the Windows hardware configuration came up and said something like "We have found new hardware would you like to try to search for drivers." I clicked cancel. The Kx project drivers weren't working. So I then went to start-programs, and went down to Kx Project. When the options for it opened there was no Kx Mixer. So I clicked uninstall or re-install Kx Project audio driver. I then clicked install. And the install seemed to work fine. It asked me to reboot this time, which I did.

After I logged back in the drivers appear to be working fine. I am going to install Gigastudio 3 later today, so I hope that everything is alright. Do y'all think that the drivers are now correctly installed? Hope this makes sense.

Kind Regards,
Preston

It sounds like it did install OK the second time, so I think that it shouldn't give you any more trouble. I am not sure why you had problems the first time, maybe you were missing a component that the installer uses (a library or something), and the first install attempt installed the needed lib, allowing it to work properly the second time? I do not know, just a guess, but I think you should be good to go now...
