kX does not remove it's tmp files on Windows shutdown. It does appear to remove them if you manually quit kxmixer, but it does not do so when exiting on Windows shutdown/restart.

Windows XP SP2
Filename(s): ~DF*.tmp (not all ~DF*.tmp are necessarily from kX.)
File Location: \Documents and Settings\<Current User>\Local Settings\Temp\

No mic?

Hi, i'm running vista ultimate, and every thing is working fine...
I had to activate mic on mixer, but when i go to windows sound properties/ recording, i got only Line-in, when it should also apear microfone, it's like it doesn't exist or something. He works, because i can hear it, but when i run a program like, teamspeak that works with voice activation, it just doesn't work.

I was wondering if this have to do with the fact that there's no mic shown in windows properties/recording?

regards,

Dani

@Dani

For AC97 Recording:

Make sure that the AC97 slider on the Recording page on kX mixer is not muted and volume is at 0 dB. Also make sure that the Master Recording Level is at 100% and not muted.

On the AC97 page of kX mixer, select the AC97 source (MIC, Line In, etc, in the drop down) that you want to record. Also make sure that the recording Gain slider is not muted and adjust the level as needed.

Hi Eugene!

In 3538k release note, you asked about some option, you had added to the driver, connected with audigy 4 (SB 0610) and the digital out ports.

I didn't find any switch for this, so I think this option should be enabled automatically?

But, for yout concern, I have to report, that the Digital Out problems still occure.

-The SPDIF-Passthrough is not working (for example redocneXk gives no sound BUT a plop in the very moment of it is being started!) (PowerDVD playing an AC3-DVD gives no sound, also)

-In normal stereo-output mode, only the first SPDIF_0 is working, both of the other SPDIFs won't ever give a sound.

hope, you'll find the problem.

Bye,

ParaLMo

How are you testing this? AFAIK, the SB0610 has only 1 SPDIF out, via the Digital I/O jack.

SB 0610 Digital Outs not working

The manual describes the 3,5mm Jack Digital I/O as an 6-Channel Digital Out (besides AC3 passthrough, which is an additonal option!)

Looking at the card , you can see that the jack has 4 pins.

You can find lots of sites online, that show that pin alignment, for example:

http://www.einhorn-net.de/spdif/faq.html

I bulit adapter cabel 12 month ago, and since then I've been trying every possible configuration.

I dont't think, I made any failure, because I'm an RF Technician, and working at this digital out problem for about 1 year now...

bye

Hmm, the info that you are referring to, is for the "Digital Out" jack used on some models, and not the "Digital I/O" jack used on the SB0610. Most info I have seen about the "Digital I/O" jack shows: "Digital I/O (for stereo SPDIF output to Digital I/O Module**)", which would seem to indicate that it is only a single SPDIF output (and the Digital I/O module that it refers to, offers only a single output (and an input). I cannot say for sure, but I think the SB0610 has only 1 SPDIF output.

BTW: I do see in the manual for the A4 where it says (in regard to the Digital I/O jack) "Connects to external digital devices or digital speaker systems (6-channel or compressed AC-3 SPDIF output)" which seems to indicate that it can do 6 channel (uncompressed) digital output, but then under "Connecting Digital Speaker Systems" it only mentions being able to connect it to a 2.1 Digital Speaker system, so it is all a bit confusing.
