Have you tried just reinitializing DSP?

Right click on tray icon - choose kX DSP.
Right click on kX DSP window (not on an object) and select "Reinitialize DSP".

Try turning off the Windows startup sound and see if that helps.

try going to start|run and typing in "kxctrl -sptr 76 0 400" without the quotes, and click run.

Heh, people, this bug is really wierd...
It happens only in my WinXP installation With Audigy2!!! Win98se works good... Seems just after windows XP startup sound, when kX manager pops-up Audigy output goes dead! I even tried fuul batch procedure for enabling Audigy2 at 3529 version... Nothing... But, I tred the next thing: I disabled kX mixer startup in registry... (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\Microsoft\Windos\Curr entVersion\Run) Now sound works well in all windows programs! Haven't tested ASIO dough... But I can't acces kX mixer normally!!! Bah! Whenever I run kX mixer manually again, Audigy2 goes to heaven... Dead as potato... Seems kX mixer initialisation is turning off poor Audigy... Are there any kxctrl commands to try to avoid this? Hey, you experts, what to do?

1. Wait for 31.
2. Untill 31, execute "kxctrl -sptr 76 0 400", then push "swap front/rear" several times...
