3538J: MIDI Errors in bulk
I cannot send a sysex dump back to my Yamaha MU100R or Korg 05RW without errors (checksum errors).... Is this a KX related problem? I tried MidiOx, Cubase and Cakewalk to recieve and transmit but all with the same result. I also tried several ports on an audigy2 and live. Also driver versions i/j and the stable release. All without any success.
Pls help! An update: It looks like it definitly is the KX driver. I uninstalled the driver completely and installed the new Creative audigy driver package. What a mess this is. But I managed to install it and use it for 'normal purposes', like playing music. Then I retried to upload sysex bulk data with success. No more errors! It made my system unusable for all other purposes (like making music :-) but for the sake of the test it was okay. I now re-installed the KX driver and hope for a bugfix. It maybe that there is still an error in the IRQ handling code? Or maybe a buffer (round-robin) problem. Something of that kind. The weird thing is that during normal use of MIDI it all seems okay. Only sysex bulk dumps..... Regard, Shinco |

pls download debugging monitor (search the forum for the link) and watch if the driver prints anything midi-related (probably smth like 'midi sysex buffer overflow')
I haven't tested sysex management code with large blocks of data pls reply via e-mail (kxproject.com/contact.php) E. |
